Corner of Main Street and Meeting House Lane, Southampton

Updated: Aug 30, 2022

This photograph is of the commercial building at the corner of Main Street and Meeting House Lane of Southampton, facing northeast. The commercial building was designed by Grosvenor Atterbury and commissioned by Samuel Parrish. This undertaking took place after Samuel Parrish moved his residence, the Rogers Mansion, back from Main Street in the spring of 1926. After relocating the Mansion, the brick building was constructed in its place on the corner, where they still stand to this day.

In the present, the building is the home of the furniture store Homenature, and the consignment store Collette's Basement.
