Dear Friends,
Seeing the holidays through the eyes of a child helps keep the Christmas spirit alive. It’s a magical time of year for kids who are eagerly awaiting Santa and all that he might bring them. COVID has brought many roadblocks to our lives in 2020, but jeopardizing the Christmas experience for children should not be one of them. Having children write letters to Santa is a great way to have children connect with Santa in a safe way and environment.
Together with the Southampton Youth Association, we would like to invite our friends in the community to our Letters to Santa event. Have your child write down a special note for Santa, and when completed you can drop them off in our special “Letters to Santa” mailbox at the Rogers Mansion. Museum staff will scan each letter and post them to our blog where everyone can experience the joy of the holiday season through the eyes of our community's children.
If you plan to participate, please drop off your letter no later than Saturday, December 19th or emailing them by Wednesday, December 24th. The mailbox will be on the front porch of the Rogers Mansion located at 17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton, NY 11968. By dropping off these letters you are agreeing to having them scanned and posted to our website for the general public to see. However, we won’t post the last name of any child. If you have any questions please give me a call at (631) 283-2494 x 500 or send an email at cflanagan@southamptonhistory.org.
Sincerely,
