This oil on canvas portrait is of Katherine Sullivan Meehan, a member of New York and Southampton's Irish aristocracy.

Married to Joseph Ansbro Meehan, she served on board of St. Vincent's and Southampton Hospitals, hosting fundraisers at her own home. She was a long-time member of the Southampton Garden Club and Colony Club in NY. She passed away on February 16, 2011 at the age of 92.

The artist Natalie Johnson Van Vleck's work was exhibited across the country, with a focus on prominent people in society.
