The cars seen parked along Main Street indicate the time period. The bell-shaped Christmas decoration hanging above the street is prominent near the middle of the photograph, slightly to the left. To the left of the alleyway (where the present-day Le Charlot resides) is the Cookery Dock, prior to its closing within Southampton. Further down the road south, as seen on the right side of the photograph, is the First Presbyterian Church.
