This year we are asking for $265,000 so that we can continue the work we have been doing for more than 120 years. We will put this money to work by:
-
offering FREE school programs on-site and in classrooms
-
continuing to grow our online programs
-
maintaining our 14 historic buildings & 3 gardens at our properties
-
providing FREE admission to all education events

What are we doing to foster historical education and youth engagement?
-
We partner with the Southampton Youth Association to provide them with space for some of their events and work together on putting on programs throughout the year. Recently we have worked together on their Egg Mania event and for the last two years they have helped our with our Spooky Spirits at the Rogers Mansion Halloween event.
-
For the last 3 years we have planned multiple canoe tours that focus on the indigenous history of our local waterways lead by an indigenous educator. These programs are free for kids 12 and under and you can RSVP for the first one HERE.
-
We also have various other programs like scavenger hunts, virtual tours, nature hikes and will be adding even more as the summer rolls on (many of which are FREE) which you can see HERE.
-
Any school or camp group that wishes to come for educational programming are always given the opportunity for 100% FREE educational programming. We will also be hosting several family days throughout the summer season for visitors to get a hands on experience.
-
This summer we will be hosting a live blacksmith in our blacksmith shop that will allow people of all ages to see this ancient craft in person and even get hands on experience working on the forge.

Have an idea for something else we could be doing?
Feel free to reach out to our Assistant Director Connor Flanagan with your idea and we will see what we can do!
