About the Event
Join us for the grand reopening of the historic Rogers Mansion, unveiling freshly redesigned galleries and an exclusive new exhibit Stephen Sayre’s American Revolution, on Friday, June 12, 4:30pm - 6:00pm.
Light refreshments will be served as you discover the the life and legacy of Stephen Sayre (1736–1818), one of the most fascinating, yet long overlooked figures in America's fight for independence. The exhibit also delves into the experiences of Southampton's patriot silversmith, Elias Pelletreau (1726–1810), the occupation of Southampton by thousands of British troops in 1778-1779, and much more.
Admission is free and open to the public. We invite the entire community to join us in celebrating this compelling chapter of local and national history. Space is limited; RSVP is encouraged.
