About the Event
The Plein Air Painting Workshop with artist Aurelio Torres has been rescheduled to Wednesday, August 5th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Halsey House & Garden due to inclement weather. This hands-on program invites participants to experience the beauty of outdoor painting while working directly on the grounds of the historic Halsey House, one of the Southampton History Museum's treasured properties.
Plein air painting, literally “in the open air," encourages artists of all levels to slow down, observe the landscape, and translate light, color, and atmosphere directly onto canvas. Under the guidance of Torres, participants will explore composition, brushwork, and technique while engaging with the unique historic setting of the Halsey House.
