Sustainable Southampton: Environmental Design in Architecture – Cocoon and Threshold Houses

Architect and interior designer Nina Edwards Anker, PhD joined us recently for a virtual talk on two Southampton structures that partake in the natural landscape, Cocoon House (2019), a Gold LEED certified home, and Threshold House (2023), an eco-starter home, illustrate an environmental approach to architecture. By tuning in to given site conditions, and with the help of technologies and passive strategies, architectural design serves both the environment and wellbeing.
